Virginia Union University Signing Day is May 20th.The Office of Admissions will have three locations open for prospective students to recieve admissions help with submitting documentation for Admissions and Financial Aid, apply for housing, register for orientation, and much more. The New York City Location will be at Wadleigh Secondary School and starting at 10am

The event will be held at the Frederick Douglass Academy High School, 2581 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10039 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Panther Alumni will be out for this year's HBCUnion SpringComing NYC Homecoming weekend event. Saturday April 23rd is the School Daze HBCU Picnic Event

That is exactly what's happening this April, in New York City, as the entire HBCUnion celebrates SpringComing's return! That's right, we are throwing a Homecoming….in the Spring…for ALL HBCU'S!! Nearly 1,000 attendees have already begun preparations for SpringComing's return (April 22th-24th) and are gearing up for a weekend full of reliving unforgettable moments, making priceless memories and reconnecting with long lost friends!

Last year, graduates from all over the nation, draped in school colors, poured their school pride all over New York City in a weekend full of events designed to feel like being back on the yard! Filled with opportunities to both party and network, this weekend, slated to draw a national audience of influencers from cities across the country, should not be missed!

"Since we can't get to the Yard, let's bring the Yard to the city! We will be flooding NYC with HBCU grads representing every school in the HBCUnion! This daytime event, known as School Daze, is eqaul parts togetherness and equal parts competition! Taking place will be an intercollegiate competition like none other! Fraternities, Sororities, Rattlers, Aggies, Bison, Tigers, Panthers and more will take to the field and spades tables to represent their alma mater! What's That? SEE U TROUGH FOUNDATION INC. will be hosting it's First Annual Historically College Fair on April 9th at the Bronxworks Betances Community Center located on 547 East 146th St. on St. Ann's Avenue Bronx, NY 10455

This annual event is attended by hundreds of 9th – 12th grade students and their families and provides a venue for colleges and organizations to showcase pre-college/college programs and opportunities.

The 8th annual Big Apple Classic (BAC) basketball tournament returns to Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 7 when archrivals from four of the nation’s most prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the CIAA and MEAC collegiate conferences will match up in a doubleheader. Day of event details are below:

• 2:00pm - College Fair (Main Concourse)

• 3:00pm - Virginia State University vs. Virginia Union University
  • Halftime Show - Battle of the Bands EXPO
  • Step Show at intermission between games

• 6:00pm - North Carolina Central University vs. Howard University
  • Halftime Show - Battle of the Bands EXPO

This year’s Big Apple Classic is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events of the year. While the Virginia State Trojans and Virginia Union Panthers hold one of the longest-running rivalries in the history of the CIAA, Union adds a unique twist with first-year head coach Tony Sheals, who brings more than 20 years of coaching experience. The Eagle-Bison rivalry is just beginning to blossom, as Howard lost to North Carolina Central at the 2014 MEAC Tournament. The team is projected to challenge the Eagles again for the 2015 title.

The New York Urban League (NYUL) will
host its 28th Annual Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) Fair.

 [ Includes Each Year Virginia Union University ]

Over 50 HBCU campus representatives in attendance, the fair aims to educate and assist over 3,000 youths through college prep and financial aid workshops.

The fair will also provide application fee waivers, scholarship awards, and even on-site admissions to some of the colleges/universities present.

Co-op City North East Bronx New York is hosting its Third Community College, Career & Resource Fair.

Co-op City is the largest residential development in the United States serving middle and upper middle income New Yorkers of diverse backgrounds.  More than 50,000 people reside in Co-op City.

Preparing students for higher education and becoming prominent adults is our goal.  We believe that when our Youth are provided with opportunities to be constructively involved they make better choices.
